Irish Moss, scientifically known as Chondrus Crispus, is a red alga (seaweed) that are found along the Atlantic Oceans rocky coastline in North America and Europe.

Irish Moss varies in color from greenish-yellow, red, brown, and dark purple. 55% of Chondrus Crispus is a soluble fiber known as carrageenen, 10% of its weight is protein, and 15% of the weight is the mineral content.

Irish Sea Moss nutrients include B2(Riboflavin), B9(Folate), magnesium, Iron, Iodine, zinc, sulfur, calcium, and potassium.
